Computrans is a small network of passionate linguists, who gathered at the Humboldt University Berlin in 1998.
Our technical studies and the shared enthusiasm for languages have led us to the logical consequence of founding a network of technical translators.
Creative writing, subject matter competence und clarity of expression are distinguishing pillars of our work.
Within 20 years we have built a solid base of satisfied clients.

What we do
After 20 years of working as language professionals, we know the challenges of multi-language communication.
We perform translations in correct language and with due subject matter expertise, that are perceptible and persuasive. While doing so, we consider client preferences as well as expectations of the target audience. Legal and cultural characteristics play an important role in our work.
Ideally though, you come to us before initiating a multi-language project.
Our consulting can help you avoid many issues. Rarely, a foreign-language document can simply be translated into German sentence by sentence. Sometimes, entire sections need to be removed or added for legal reasons. Also, perception of wording, that sounds natural to the audience in the anglo-american world, is quite different in German speaking countries.
And what happens, if the translations provided by this extremely low-cost agency in India just cannot go into print?
We offer thorough editing services, if third party supplied translations are:
- poor in language or subject matter expertise,
